Sell my silver bars
Silver bars are the simplest bullion to sell: a known weight of .999 fine silver, priced straight off the live spot price. Here is what we buy and what it is worth today.
Types of silver bars we buy
Minted bars are struck from rolled blanks with sharp edges, a mirror or brushed finish and a stamped weight, purity and serial number. Common brands include PAMP Suisse, Sunshine Minting, the Royal Canadian Mint, Asahi and Scottsdale, and many come sealed in assay cards. Poured (cast) bars are made by pouring molten silver into a mold, giving each one a slightly rough, one-of-a-kind look. Vintage poured bars from Engelhard and Johnson Matthey are especially popular with collectors. Generic and hand-poured bars from smaller refiners are welcome too; they are bought on their verified silver content.
Most bars are .999 fine (99.9% silver), with some newer bars at .9999. Standard sizes run from 1 oz up to the 100 oz bars favored by larger investors, with 5 oz, 10 oz and 1 kilo (32.15 oz) bars in between. Bars do not need to be in their original packaging, and light tarnish or bag marks do not change the silver content or our offer.
How we price them
Every bar is weighed and verified on the spot, with XRF assaying when the hallmark alone is not enough, then priced against the live silver spot price. Well known hallmarked bars are quick to verify and settle; unmarked or damaged bars take a few extra minutes of testing. There is no assay fee, and you see the offer before you decide.
