How Selling Diamonds Works at Our Salem Shop
We have an in-house refinery where we melt gold and other precious metals. This means that you get the best deals by selling directly to a precious metals processor.
- 1 Test and Weigh An XRF assay gun reads the exact metal content in seconds, with no scratching or acid. Then we weigh it in grams.
- 2 Price It at Live Spot Your offer is based on the market price at the moment we test. We pay more than anyone else in Salem.
- 3 Get Paid the Same Day Accept and you're paid before you leave. Decline and you take your diamonds home.

Great place to get gold and silver
Kaiden was very helpful and professional selling some of my inherited flatware. They gave me a fair price for it and was done quickly. Highly recommend if you have any old silver you're looking to sell!

What is a gram of diamonds worth?
Diamonds are not priced by weight like gold. There is no per gram or spot price. Value comes from the 4 Cs (carat, cut, color and clarity), certification and demand. One carat is about 0.2 grams, yet two stones of equal weight can differ enormously in value, so every diamond we buy is evaluated individually.
Why is it so hard to sell a diamond?
Retail markups are steep, so resale rarely matches the original price. There is no public exchange or spot price, so pricing is opaque, and few buyers can grade stones properly. A GIA or similar certificate helps. We evaluate directly and make one straightforward cash offer, so you skip that fragmented market.
What does a 1 carat diamond sell for?
Anywhere from a few hundred dollars for a lower grade stone to several thousand for an exceptional, certified one. Cut, color, clarity and paperwork drive the spread. The only way to know your stone's number is to have it evaluated, loose or still set in jewelry.
Can I sell a diamond by mail?
Yes. Request a free, carrier approved mailer with shipping with limits up to $100,000*, ship your stone loose or set from any staffed carrier location, and our team evaluates it. Include any lab certificate if you have one; it helps but is not required. You get 14 days to decide, and free return shipping if you pass.
