Is it a good idea to buy gold as an investment?

Gold and silver, unlike cash or stocks, have an intrinsic value. It is valuable now and will continue to be valuable in the future. Like all investments, it is important to be diverse. It is good to have a mix of gold, silver, and platinum in your portfolio to protect yourself against a volatile market and uncertain economy.

Is there a discount if I use a certain payment method to puchase my bullion?

Yes. We offer a 4.0% rebate if you choose to purchase your precious metals with cashier’s check, personal check, cash, or direct wire transfer. All of these methods of payment are preferred over debit and credit cards.

Is investing in bullion a safe option?

Investing in bullion is considered a traditional way to hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty. While bullion typically maintains value over time, like all investments, it is not without risk. Market fluctuations in metal prices can affect the value of bullion. Bullion refers to precious metals like gold, silver, platinum, or palladium in bulk form, typically cast into bars, coins, or ingots. Bullion can be categorized into two main types: coin bullion and bar bullion. Coin bullion includes legal tender coins, while bar bullion comes in various shapes and weights. Bullion is primarily used as an investment or for industrial purposes.

How is bullion purity determined?

The purity of bullion is often measured in karats for gold and fineness for other precious metals. A purity of 24 karats (or 999.9 fineness) for gold signifies 99.99% pure gold, without any alloys. Reputable refiners usually stamp the purity directly on the bullion item. Certification from authorized assayers may also be available to assure quality.

Whats the difference between bullion coins and collectors coins?

Bullion coins are primarily valued for their precious metal content, weight, and purity, while collector’s coins (or numismatic coins) are valued based on rarity, historical significance, condition, and artistic merit. While both contain precious metals, bullion coins are typically bought as an investment, and collector’s coins are often sought after by hobbyists and collectors. The price of bullion coins is closely tied to the market value of the metal, while collector’s coins might be priced according to various factors beyond the intrinsic metal value.

I went in to see Blake and Fernando today for some gold to sell, they were able to not only give me a fair price but also quick, knowledgeable service! They were very kind and did not make me feel less than because I was selling stuff. It is nice to always see their welcoming smiles!”

My wife and I live on the Oregon coast and we visited Accurate early last month to sell some gold jewelry and gold coins. We had such a positive experience there that we returned again a couple of weeks ago with some more pieces. We worked with Jimmy both times. He’s friendly, patient, honest and knowledgeable. We got paid more than we’d expected for these pieces and we can’t imagine going anywhere else to sell gold. Highly recommended!
